FWIW, Max just brought in the completed manifold for xracer, and I can honestly say that it is a masterpiece. I love the radical look of it and once again will say that Matt does amazing work... I wish the time frames were consistent with promises, because I would be more than comfortable offering his products to our customers. Stuff is nice.

im not entirely sure why you assume i am full of animosity towards you anyways, i was just pointing out that tm has closed threads that reflected poorly on your business. sls has had threads closed as well which is why i find it amusing that both of you guys are harping on him.

Ok im being completely serious and honest here but, isn't 4 weeks for a manifold that is essentially free actually pretty decent? Iv never bought a manifold from some place out west or had a custom manifold made at ___ before, but to me I dont think 4 weeks is too bad at all. Now, I don't know any of the details about what was suppose to go down, but it seems like max, or xracer, wanted a manifold for free (practically) and done in like a week?
Now don't get me wrong, saying it will be done in XX days and doing the complete opposite isn't very good at all, but like I said before...I have no idea what was said or what the arrangement was. When looking at this I just see some guy getting a aweasome manifold for dirt cheap complaining about it taking a month. I dunno...basically **cliff notes:
Can someone tell me how long it took them to get a custom manifold made from a shop out west/east/whatever?

I think this was lead down an odd path. I have no animosity towards you, and didn't think you did towards me/us either.... There is a lot of people that get sick of Matt's rude attitude on this site, so when a legitimate thread comes up, the bash fest starts. There is also people on here that dislike me/us, and when a thread comes up, they jump on it as well. Vicious circle that I am cool with dropping anytime the other parties are as well. The track 'hate' threads were left to fizzle out, as have many of our other threads. They weren't closed.

We just got a Bisimoto header in the mail today that is built off a spec sheet of mods for Shane's ITR. Including shipping, is was 17 days. They claimed 2-3 weeks build time.
If Matt were to say 3-4 weeks for building a manifold, and then it takes 3-4 weeks, there is nothing to bitch about from anyone. If he says 2 weeks, and then it is 4, 6, 10 weeks, then that is where issues start....especially when the customer has a race/event that they plan to attend, but can't because their promised part isn't done. Price negociated is price negociated. If Matt said the manifold would be $250 and done in 2 weeks, you can't go back on your word and say 'well for god's sake, I am building you a $1000 manifold for $250....so what if it is taking me more time than promised'. Price paid is what the manifold was offered for. I think that $250 for what I just saw today was a kick in the nuts for Matt, but that is what he agreed too.
Being the manifold is done, I think this is a perfect time for things to start over. The manifold is bad ass, and further proves that Matt has the talent to offer manifolds with some of the best in the industry (pending some testing on durability and power increases). Hopefully this can be a learning experience, because it would be a shame for talent to get wasted by someone that just simply doesn't want to use it.

Whoops, sorry. Forgot who I was talking to.

I think im finally getting the manifold. The fact that I had to pay somebody to get on Matt's ass to finish the shit shows how Matt just doesn't give a fuck unless there is somebody in front of him waiting.
The manifold LOOKS good, but Matt still sucks. I will never have him do anything for me at any price again. Nor will I ever encourage my peers to give him business. Total time is 5 weeks plus shipping time. Three weeks over due date. Not acceptable by my standards.
