Sunday's AUTO-X Rescheduled!

This Sunday's (September 27th) Auto-x in West Fargo has been rescheduled to October 18th... Same times, same place.

I really want to say 'well too bad I probably won't have tires by then' but the truth is I might not even have the car back on the ground by then.

erm.. i'll be running my crappy all-seasons if i make the october date. The WF parking lot is awful and disintegrates when you drive over it... shredding tires from pavement breakup and abrasive material.

my 15" r-comps are over $200/corner [i bought em used..]. No way i'm subjecting them to that pavement. Slow is fine with me

my tires are nearly gone so they likely wouldn't hold up to a day of auto-x.

but yes, I've got enough parts laying around the garage right now to believe I may not have it back together by then....
Or if everything is magical - it'll be running next weekend.

Just got a phone call..... It sounds like there was people from all over that showed up for the auto-x that was suppose to happen. It also sounded like they where not to happy after driving from minot, bismark, the cities....

the friend that told me about it said the "main site" (SCCA?) hadn't been updated yet when i told him yesterday.

Is it really a SCCA (or NASA?) sponsored event? That's pretty crazy, had no idea.

Yes, all of the auto-x event around here are ran buy the SCCA.

thrash, no they did not hold it. Some of the people who auto x werent aware of the date change. Ball drop on badlands club part... maybe someone should update the site or send an email to members or something...

There were some VERY angry people, and rightfully so! You can't call off an event on Friday afternoon, for an event that people have been planning on for a long time. I knew as soon as I was told to post the postponement via Shane from Todd, that there were going to be people that wont find out.

I showed up there too. Even I didn't know it was re-scheduled. I hung out for a bit to break the news to some very angry "out of towners".
