I got this last week. We didn't enter (for various reasons I will leave out of this), but this info might shed some more light to those interested. It is gonna be tough reading, as it didn't copy the paragraph structure from the Word file.
Welcome ND500 participants. This is going to be a great year for us car/bike lovers and I'm happy to inform you that the ND500 road rally registration is now open! Here's some of what you can expect as a rallier/participant. ~ We will leave Bismarck North Dakota Thursday morning July 29th, 2010 and arrive back in Bismarck Aug. 1, 2010. Times to be announced at a later date but plan on early mornings and late nights. This IS a rally after all! ~ The route is your own to choose, but every rallier will be heading to the same check point/final destination each day. So if you know of a good short cut, take it! -Day 1- Leave Bismarck arrive Denver Colorado. There will be one checkpoint along the route where every team will meet for lunch/photo/video opportunities. -Day 2- Leave Denver Co. arrive Salt Lake City UT. Again, one check along the route for a lunch stop every team must stop at. -Day 3- Leave SLC arrive Yellowstone National Park. As of this time, there is no check point for this route but we are planning a fun type of event to take place in the morning before leaving for our final destination. -Day 4- Sunday Aug. 1, 2010- The rally has officially ended and teams are free to go as they please. ~ The rally will officially end July 31, 2010 at Yellowstone national park where we will have our awards party the final night of the rally. The following morning, Aug. 1, participants are free to leave Yellowstone as they wish but a group will be leaving together and heading up through Beartooth pass to continue video taping and getting photos on the way back to Bismarck. ~ The night before the rally leaves Bismarck, the teams will all meet as a group at a location not yet set. This will be for photo and video opportunities for the local news media as well as all the teams getting to meet each other and go over how the following morning will begin and where the first check point will be. ~ The ND500 rally entry fee will cover 3 nights stay at each final location at a hotel yet to be determined. Hotel rooms provided will be one room and two beds unless other wise agreed upon before deposit is made. One dinner and or lunch will be provided each day as a group event. Trophies and awards. All rally sponsor and event logo's that will be required for display anywhere ND500 sees fit. "The Mob Theory" video crew to film and document the event. "Action Plant" photography as the official photographer. ND500 tshirts (at this point, 2 shirts per rallier). National park entry fee's. Over night security to watch over all rally cars. A chase/follow vehicle at the back of the rally to pick up anyone who might break down and take them the rest of the way if they so desire. Any extra's that still may and probably will come up. Group rates allow us to stretch entry fee's a long way! ~ What the ND500 will NOT cover: basically, everything that is not is writing. Your team will be responsible for gas, most food, speeding tickets, and again, anything that is not spelled out in detail. Also, make sure you have valid insurance as required by law. ND500 holds no responsibility if you damage your vehicle, someone else's vehicle, or any property not belonging to you. If you have a concern or question about what exactly is covered and is not covered, please call or email. What is the ND500? This is a fun event meant to bring together people who have a passion for motor vehicles over 4 days and 3 nights. It's open to anyone of any age (If under 18, a parent or guardian must be present the entire rally) and is not meant to be a race. Everyone attending is legally liable for any and all personal actions and ND500 and it's staff will not be held accountable for violations of local/state/national laws. Though there will be an award for fastest total rally time, this is by no means a free pass to speed or break the law. This award can and probably will be attained by the team with the fewest gas stops, break downs, or without getting lost or pulled over. The ND500 is meant to be a good time, to enjoy the company of others like ourselves, and finally do something that our area has needed for a very long time! The entire event will be filmed, photographed, and put on DVD for every rallier, as well as hosted online in many of the most common video networking websites. If someone wishes to remain anonymous during this event, we will respect their wishes and keep them from any media as much as possible. Awards and trophies! On the final night of the rally, we will hold an awards ceremony. Trophies will be given out for: Fastest and slowest over all rally times. Most break downs. Most times pulled over. The following awards will be voted on by everyone on the rally and will go to: Ugliest car. Favorite car. Ridiculous team. And the grand prize, spirit of the rally will go to the team that gets the most votes for showing what a rally should really be about. Having fun, enjoying the road, entertaining, and just an all around enjoyable team with out being annoying! While trophies and small awards will be given to teams that win one, the grand prize winner will receive the keys and the title to the official ND500 rally car! A 1979 rear wheel drive Toyota Corolla brought back to life and made into an extreme rally machine. Upgraded motor, new wheels, new tires, new suspension, new paint, and just an all around perfect set up for any rally, autocross, or drift event featuring many of the ND500's sponsors products. Complete build info, photos, and video will be available on the ND500 website once available. Now it's just up to the winning team to decide how to share the trophy!

More trophies and awards coming soon. The point? HAVE FUN! We're trying to have a fun and exciting event here people. Dress up or bring things to prank people along the way. Just keep it safe and fun.... and legal! Maybe check out some of the famous rally videos online for inspiration and what you can expect with so many people involved in something like this. Can we use GPS? Absolutely! In fact, bring every piece of electronics as possible. Radar detector, scanners, jammers, computers, GPS, oil slick, rocket launchers... Bring what ever you want but use it at your own risk. ND500 will not be held responsible for any equipment that is not legal in any of the states or areas we may pass through. Also, it's recommended that every team have a walkie talkie so they can communicate with near by teams. Traveling with 50+ cars would be no fun if you couldn't get to know the team that just passed you! Be aware of the public. This event will draw a crowd wether you like it or not. Every place you stop, every time you fill gas, every stop light you hit, people will want to know what you're doing and more than likely try to take a picture. Please be respectful to the public and enjoy your time in the spot light. Now, the part everyone wants to know. What's this going to cost? First, there will be three levels of participation. The first will just be called "participant". This will be the lowest charge meant for anyone who wants to attend but does not have a vehicle to participate with. At this time, we're not sure exactly how the participants will follow along with the rally, but our plan is supply group vehicles that will follow the rally route beside all the other ralliers. More info provided on this soon. Next, the second level of participation will be called "Team". This is where mostly everyone that is involved will be. Teams are any single vehicle, with any number of people inside, a rally number, and a team name. Each team picks their own number and name but is subject to approval by ND500 staff. The team name will not be displayed on the side of your vehicle but the team number will. Team names will appear on a sheet with every ralliers photo and car number next to it and handed out to each team before the event starts so you all know who your talking to while on the road. The last level of participation is "VIP". Each VIP team will have a differently designed or colored rally logo, four ND500 rally T-shirts for each day, will start at the front of the pack after each check point/final destination is reached, will receive certain amounts of sponsored supplied goodies that are made available, will have profiles set up on the ND500 website (coming soon!) with added media attention during the rally, will stay in hotel suites at all locations where available (one suite for two people unless other wise agreed upon), and anything else we can work out along the way to offer as a bonus to all the VIP ralliers. Fee for each level of participation will be as follows: Participant ~ $500 per person Team ~ $650 per person for teams of two people same car, $600 per person for teams of 3-4 people same car, $575 per person for teams of 5+ same car. VIP ~ $1000 per person for any amount of people per vehicle. VIP teams are limited to the first 15 teams. Fees will go up the 1st of each month starting Feb. 1st, 2010. This is necessary as booking events and rooms will be become more difficult as the ND500 draws near. How do I reserve my spot in the 2010 ND500? A simple deposit of half the total amount for each person will guarantee your spot for as long as registration is still open. If you make your deposit before the fee price goes up, you will not be required to pay the new fee rate. Payments in full must be submitted on or before May 1st, 2010 or team may be disqualified with out refund. After May 1st, 2010, payment in full is required for anyone wishing to participate with out option for deposit. Once deposit or payment in full is made, you may pick your team number and name (if still available and if approved by ND500 and it's staff). And after payment in full is submitted, all rally logo's, ND500 T-shirts, and sponsor supplied products will be made available as early as possible. Registration will be closed on June 1, 2010 or once 50 teams are entered (whichever comes first). Refund? Absolutely NO refunds will be given during any time for ANY reason to anybody. Because of the nature of this event, time is import to make sure we can book events and hotel rooms for over 100 people and 50+ cars (staff included). To book reservations for a group this massive, money must be deposited months in advance with these businesses to keep our reservations guaranteed. This information is subject to change without warning or notice. For the most accurate and up to date ND500 road rally information, please email [email protected] or call 701-440-1801. Once the ND500 website is up and running, updates will posted there. Everyone who participates, including staff and volunteers, will be required to sign the rally waiver before departure. If we do not have a signed copy with photocopy ID attached, or refuse to sign the waiver, you will not be allowed to attend the event and forfeit all rights to participate with out refund. This document is to guarantee the ND500 and it's staff can not be held liable for the misconduct, neglect, trashed hotel rooms, or broken laws violated by anyone during this event. Anyone may request this document any time before the start of the rally but will be mailed to everyone after deposit is made and should be signed and sent back as soon as possible. Payments can be made out to "ND500 LLC" in the form of bank certified check, money order, western union, cash, or bank wire transfer. At this time, paypal is not an option. If you are ready to submit payment and reserve your spot in the 2010 ND500, please contact [email protected] or call 701-440-1801.

Oh god my eyes hurt from reading that.
I could be wrong but sounds lame.... ND has to be one of the most BORING states of all time to drive through, unless there are a ton of exotics that come to participate (which I find a hard time believing there will be) I can't find the interest in this.
