That's been my point the whole time. I don't care if you like/hate Obama, posting that you want to kill him or see him die on a public forum is FUCKING STUPID and EXTREMELY ILLEGAL (regardless of who the president is)

He only get's a maximum of five years? If it would've been any of the previous presidents he probably would've gotten 20 to life. I guess being the first black president isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Reminds me of a funny story...
Back in 2001, newly elected President George W. Bush was coming to Fargo to do a rally at NDSU. Earlier that day, a buddy of mine from the cities came up to check out the campus because he was thinking of going there. He was completely unaware of Bush's visit. While pulling into a parking lot on campus, the lot attendant asked him why he was on campus. His reply was "Oh you know, to plant bombs and stuff". Bad timing. 45 minutes later, the Secret Service had hunted him down and arrested him. They ended up closing down the campus for several hours and bringing in bomb-sniffing dogs. He ended up getting charged with terrorizing the president.

Quasi-illegal perhaps. Kinda depends on the context I believe. Saying "I wish Obama would die" isn't EXACTLY the same as saying "I wanna watch him die" or "I wish someone would kill him". One is implying that you would be ok with his death, the others imply that you in some way want to be involved with or are potentially conspiring to kill him. BIG difference.
