Well you honestly can't register the skyline legally. The border wants a letter of compliance of epa, dot, ect. Nissan of america will not send that letter as it does not comply. I could register it as a kit/show car but then the car is considered a grey market and the feds look out for grey market skylines. When they find one they send a letter to the owner giving them 60 days to export the car (which would be easy for me), also these cars are normally only watched for in states that they are commonly imported in. I'm not saying they would never find mine but I am saying they aren't looking as hard here. I don't know if I will play the registration game in the aspect of a show/kit. Either way it is not 100% legal to register it. It won't hurt my feelings if I have let it sit in the garage forever unless I trailer it.

P.s. The car is legally registered in canada and insured, just no plates. I got the paper work. So I can legally drive it for alittle bit.

                  Show / Off-Road Use Only
Additionally, it should be noted that there are a number of Skylines in the US listed as off- road (read: racing) purposes only. A vehicle imported for "Show or Display" may receive NHTSA approval to be driven on the highway, but the odometer must not register more than 2,500 miles in a 12-month period. NHTSA approval of limited on-road use is to allow the vehicle to be driven to and from nearby displays of similar automobiles. Another reason permission is granted is to maintain the vehicle’s engine, braking, lighting, and other dynamic systems in good working order. The Catch: The vehicle is still required to meet EPA requirements. If the original engine in the vehicle will be replaced with a non-original engine to meet EPA requirements, it must be identified in your application since it may impact on the technological or historical significance of the vehicle, thereby resulting in a denial of the application. Such permits are rarely granted and are monitored closely.

Well that's nice, but it still doesn't matter. Im pretty sure If you drove around a RHD car that isn't registered/insured/let alone legal one of two things will happen: A) A cop will see you driving on the 'wrong side' and weather or not you are doing something illegal or not...will pull you over. Thus you'll get 100% completely fucked in the ass (huge fees/car crushed) or B) You do something illegal (speeding, roll through a stop sign) and get pull over, or even worse, get into an accident...and...you guessed it; get fucked.

Not to be a 'hater' or anything but I wouldn't EVER drive it around, even if it is to wash it and show it off. It's probably the dumbest thing ever.

Anything that happens after getting pulled over for no good reason is thrown out in court...so even if they found it to be illegal, they have to look the other way. Same thing works for DUI/Drugs, etc etc etc. If the stop wasn't handled correctly, the cop is SOL.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Really? Because im pretty sure its perfectly legal for a police officer to pull you over with the 'suspicion ' that you were not wearing your seat belt. It would be mighty easy to just say that was the reason...

HOT SECKS!!! Besides its North Dakota who's really going to care about it not technically being legal to drive here. Most cops aren't even going to know what it is let alone that its not federalized. Oh and just to reiterate P you fail 😄

Looks good Max, but you should have bought a BMW if it is going to be a track car, no one else makes anything remotely close, especially no fart can Jap Crap.

Lol well I can't justify spending 15-30k on a car I'm going to wreck. That price is based on an e46 m3. In my opinion the only one worth buying. So ill stick to my pos jap crap and drift the hell out of it.
