When did mustangs get 6 cats? I have seen 4 cats and 2 mufflers......never 6 cats. I could be wrong, i am just asking.

I'm trying to remember what my 4.6L Thunderbird had. It was either 2 or 4 cats and a mid-mount resonator (and the 2 mufflers before I hacked them off).

My car 'sounds' modded but it's pretty well stock.

Must have been sometime in the early 90s? My buddy has like a 95 or 96 and it definitely had 6 cats

That's interesting. I knew the 87-93 mustangs had 4 cats. 6 is just crazy.
