Just got back from vacation and read the whole damn thread.
To be honest, I think this kid will stay married to this chick for at least 10 years. If she doesn't think he can stand up for himself on some local car forum, how long will it take for her to realize that he won't stand up for himself in the relationship either? Kid, run for the hills and start over fresh with someone else. By letting your significant other wear the pants, you've ruined your long term chances here.

Oh, he can stand up for himself just fine, I was sticking up for MYSELF since I got brought up.
I only half wear the pants
