why are people so stupid?

so the g/f and I are moving out of our apartment and checked out sunday afternoon. we got up here late saturday night and were going to buy an air matress since the bed was already gone.
so we head to fargo walmart on 13th & 45th around 11:30ish on saturday night. She goes down the air matress isle and i went a few isles over to look at some paintball and co2 pistol stuff.
At the end of the isle is some re-tard holding a little red-ryder type BB gun. He tipped it down as he walked to the end of the isle and i heard BBs run down the barrel. At the end of the isle he says to a friend "I'm gona bust a cap in someones @$$". I scaned the self as he said that and noticed a cardboard cylinder of BBs with the top ripped off. So i walk sideways down the isle keeping an eye on his so i dont get shot. I turn and tell the g/f to follow and tell her there are some re-tard kids with a loaded BB gun back there. I was on my way to tell a worker down by electronics when i hear behind us the gun go off and a BB "ting" on a self right beside us. There was a worker right there who called for management for us.
The manager goes up to them and talked to them (all i heard was the kids say that it was on the shelf already loaded which is hard to believe). The manager takes the BBs to the back and unloads the BB gun then puts it back on the shelf. the kids were then allowed to stay in the store and the even allowed to buy a BB/pellet gun w/scope.
So my g/f preaty shaken up at this point calls the police and as the kids were checking out she was giving there description to the dispatcher. We got outside and in the car when the kid who had the BB gun in walmart goes back in. a cop pulls up and gets out gun drawn (for some reason they though someone was shot in the neck but hey cell phones aren't the clearest form of communication) the kids put there hands up and get out. a min or two later the kid comes back out and stands by the door untill he was called over. eventualy we heard the one ask if he could talk to my g/f and the cops didn't allow that and sent the kids on there way gun and all. They told us they denied discharging the BB gun so they had to let them go.
All in all i think it was succesfull job by FPD but i still want to see if its on tape so i can press charges if the gun was aimed at us.
BTW there were 2 kids in the store and one in the car. Of the two in the store one was about 6 feet 1 175 lbs dark hair white LA cap and the other as a little shorter and bigger around with red hair and white NY cap w/black dots. the driver was same size as red head but blondish brown hair. He was driving the gold Impala with ND plates and the car was in rough shape.
If you know who they are make sure they know how re-tarded they are. And if i get to press charges ever they will be brough to the fullest exstent possible so i hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.

I would have likely drawn my pistol and detained them before the cops got there and watched them shit bricks.

if i would have been hit i would have turned around and taken them down (properly) as i have some basic law enforcement physical control training and waited but either way looking at their faces when the cop drew his pistol and at times when the officers were talking to them made my day that much better. It was already a good day as it was my 20th B-day and getting to watch some scum bags scared crapless made it even better.

All I can say is that if some kid popped a round off anywhere near my girl friend, I would have probably followed through with the same actions, including this post. I'd be so fucking pissed off.
