Does this stuff go on more like 3m clear bra or like a big decal?

Neither. Clear bra is a wet application with a steamer. A big decal is not forgiving or stretchable without distorting. This is like nothing else you have dealt with, unless it was 3M DiNoc

Been meaning to stop and talk to you guys. Whats your thoughts on doing a trailer?

Absolutely, it wouldn't be that bad for labor, as a flat surface would be cake. A large 2 car trailer would probably take 8 hours, including pulling the screws out and putting back in.

    Very cool, nice looking work.

Can you do a toilet seat? That would be pretty cool.

    :icon_rr:

That's the kinda stuff I want people to bring in. Just please bring a new one, used toilet seats are $1200 to wrap, unused around $60 🙂

I have a fiberglass piece for my dash, how thick is this stuff? How smooth does the surface need to be?

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

How about if there is a seam? Or can you get wider stuff? It would be for my trailer thats at your place, just the black sections.

Kinda glad i told him about this stuff. he was thinking of just using a straight gloss black vinyl, but once i showed him this on FS he was in love with it lol

and Props to Jason on doin excellent work, from over 5 feet it doesnt look like a vinyl at all.

It is a bit thicker than vinyl in original form. After heated up and stretched, it can become EXTREMELY thin...like thinner than paper and still hold original form without distorting the weave.

I don't believe I can get wider stuff. If it I have to seam it, there is a technique the can seam 2 pieces together with very minimal lines.... Stop into the shop and we will talk pricing.

3M does not have a rating for wear...I can only go off of what others in the nation have done, and I have yet to read ANYTHING online that said 'don't install it on XXXX' or 'it failed'....It is designed to be used indoor and outdoors, so I would assume 3M wouldn't put their name on something that is only designed to last a short amount of time, and if they put 'years' behind the life of the product, I wouldn't be scared.

This stuff would look bad ass on a 360, PS3 or a laptop.
I really like the flat finish as well, it kind of give a stealthy touch to whatever your putting it on. 🙂
