1981 Suzuki GS 750 Project bike
-
I have a 1981 Suzuki GS 750 that i was going to make into a cafe racer type bike. Plans have changed as they usually do and i'd like to have the space, and pass the bike on to someone that will finish it. I recieved the bike in poor condition and have since done the following
New (not rebuilt) petcock
New (not rebuilt) front brake MC
New front brake pads
Vance and Hines Race header
Vance and Hines street megaphone
Kreem treated and lined the gas tank (turned out spotty, but sealed the tank up nice)
Buzzed the tank down to bare metal and sealed/painted it a hammered grey
Chopped the rear end (it was huge) and reinforced the frame
New Emgo Round Headlight
Stripped/painted the wheels satin black
Had the carbs rebuilt
New Tach Cable
Comes with a 1970's cafe racer seat that needs to be recoveredCompression was taken on a cold motor, and is as follows 1-2-3-4
155-150-145-155Numbers should be taken on a hot motor, and would be higher, but even so they are still within the good range for these motors 110 is the rebuild point for hot compression numbers.
The bike needs to be complete/running
Front brakes bled
Carbs sync'd
new front tire
cafe seat finished up
headlighed alignedI just don't have the time/patience for it anymore. I had the carbs rebuilt, but they weren't syncd. The bike will start/run but won't stay running. Everything is here for a sweet bike, and if you know how to work on them, could have a very nice bike with a weekend of work.
I would like to get 500$ for the bike. The new parts alone are more than that. Make an offer.
I have pics available. I also have the clear title in hand. The bike has around 4900 miles on it.
