Your car is running bad, and your trying things at full throttle? Especially if you think it's not getting enough fuel? Your engine won't last long at that rate.

As for "turning the turbo up"....as above the car won't build boost if there isn't a load on the engine, if your not building boost while driving then you probably have vacuum leak.

if you used the 89 style turbo injectors you need to use a 88-89 turbo ECU. Wont work with anything else. 89NA and 88-89 turbo also use a different O2 sensor. Read this page and figure it out

no, just light taps on the gas, not getting past 3K. and ive got an 02 sensor in from an 87T, and im going to be taking the upper plenum apart when ive got some days off and put in new turbo injectors designed for an 87T, though all turbo injectors were 260cc regardless what year. I think i know where the vaccum leak is coming from as well.

Is this even a question. Sounds like you should be able to answer your own question. Or...you didn't want us to forget that you have a turbo car now.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

none of that, was wanting to make sure that I wasnt the only one thinking that, wanted to confirm my thoughts with the experience of fellow fargonians.
