I like how people are giving this kid shit for installing stupid shit, which it is, but yet wouldn't bat an eye at installing a race seat in their 16 second Honda.

You would have to look that up, i would say the flare sides but now alot of the new rangers got them.

Careful. remember what the fastest street car around is.

I have always wanted to do a ranger 2.3 turbo, get rid of that ihi turbo and top mount right away put on the head from a ranger, bigger valves, and with the right fuel and spark have that truck moving.

I used to have a ranger with a dual plug 2.3..........it had 13hp on a good day

                              I was seriously contemplating a 16hp briggs/straton engine swap

It wouldn't even hold 70 on I state unless it was downhill and with the wind

what? The 2.3L has 98 hp stock. I believe the swap i would be doing the 1988 turbo coupe thunderbird has 190hp stock but we are overhauling the engine and its going to be pushing around 300 to 400hp.

On just a rebuild? Hook me up with your connection bro. That machinist must be sprinkling fairy dust on the engine components to get those results.

300 is plausible with the mods I mentioned, although 400 is pushing it without some serious internals and fuel and spark bits, as well as an ecu that will work with all the upgrades. That said dude you'll go a lot farther on this forum by not calling out people you've have probably never met, listing some 750hp engine for an XL was it? If you mean a Galaxie XL... cool, which engine is he running? I'm not flaming you yet even if it seems that way some of the guys already have and you're too new to realize, but continue like this and it'll get ugly.
