    It docent look hard but ive never desoldier and soldiered before and rather not risk it so was just asking who in fargo does it thanks

      I'm pretty well experienced at soldering, but I don't think I'd try that myself. Does the stock chip need to be saved?

        No it does not. Needs to be desoldering and can be thrown i have a empty socket to be soldered in to the stock chips place which then a eprom chip clips into the socket with a conservative tune on it for my mods so the car can b driven no problem till i get my nistune software so i can go get it tuned on the dyno but im waiting till i have bigger injectors and nistune thats what the 1500 is to b for thus is just temporary but alot of Z32 owner dd there cars on eproms

          I would be tempted to carve up the stock chip with a dremel, then desolder the pins individually. This way you would put the minimum amount of heat into the board.

            I thought about that im just worried about the soldering cuz there so small and im sure none of the solders can touch like they currently dont it just a tedious thing to do i could get it apart no prob but together not so much ha

              As long as you get it cleaned up and all thru-holes open soldering the socket should be fairly easy. A desoldering iron would help with preparing the board.

                  Any decent computer shop can do it, think between Jason and I we have done 5 nistune setups. Don't waste your money on the chip order the type 2 board and put it in. Like stated we have done 5 of them and its less than $600 when you are done. Not to mention the tuning aspect of it is quite simple.

                    Yea the type 2 board is the plan i need that and injectors depending on the route i take with injectors its anywhere from 1600-2000 for the board and injectors plus a pro tune from shane at db performance in rogers mn so i got alil saving to do again ive dropped 4k into the car in mods the last 3 month and nistune was it the bugget but i fell short its in the works may still have it done b4 spring or early summer

                      No, you have the type 2 board installed and flash the stock tune back in it and drive the fucking thing till you get the rest of the parts. buying a chip is retarded if you are going to thow it away anyways. All you have to buy is the board and have it soldered in, thats it.
                      Been using Nistune for a good 5 years, its incredibly easy to tune if you have a wideband

                        Seems simple enough i know i need the board im defenitly not experienced with tuning or what's the best way or easiest way to go from what I've read off forums as far as tuning goes put anything else in front of me I can do it but not that ha so ur saying if i have the board and flash the stock tune back into the board i can drive the car just fine with the current mod that I have till i get my Nismo 740cc injectors and tune the car on e85 and another tune for 91?

                          Yes you can download the factory z32 .rom image after you download the rom pack. Will not change from how it is currently, and its as simple as clicking the image and clicking "write"

                          Whatever you do after that can be easily adjusted, and you can likely get a tune close to your needs online as well so it's close enough to drive to the dyno and give Shane a good baseline tune.

                          Whatever you do don't waste time on a chip, just get the board. And don't get a e85 and 91 tune, put e85 in it and leave it, they still get good mileage and run so much better
