Sounds like fun. Would this be a race like check point to check point race? Or just a cruz to enjoy the marvelouse scenery of North Dakota. We should give it a name similar to the gumball. Like "Red River Run" or "Prarie run" or....something or other.
My uncle did this a couple times back in the 70's with a bunch of muscle car guys, he said it was quite fun, but a lot of people got arrested.

nah, not a race. I'd much rather this be a positive thing for our image than a negative one. Just a nice cruise for the sake of cruising. No weaving in and out of traffic acting like a retard. Like someone earlier said most people think of us as a bunch of ricers and street racers, lets prove them wrong by being polite and decent.

I don't fall into the ricer catagory. I will say it is a bit unfair. I have seen plenty of imports stopped simply because they are imports (with mods usually). Where as I usually get a head nod or a thumbs up from cops. They don't care that my car is louder than any import I have heard in town, or that I don't have a front plate, etc etc, but I know a couple "ricers" who have had the front plate charged tacked on when they get pulled over.

I don't know if the police care too much what your car looks like, but if they see you cuting and weaving though traffic they <u>will</u> remember who you are.
Shit the all the police I have talked to tell me how much they hate "Road Cone" ( Orange civic POS hatch ) becuse he cuts them off when they are not working.
I would not want to do this unless I know the people I'm going with are competent.

Dude, me and a few friends were talking about doing something like this durring the summer tonight at work. I would be game. I agree with the being polite part, one of my friends is an ass when he drives and cuts people off and shit like that, its not cool and i dont like riding with him. I have kinda grown out of my stupid driving days since last summer due to all the trouble i have been getting in.

well we all should start talking about a date to do this so we can work around everybodies schedule so we can have the max amount of people go. we could probably start a thread for that??

i'm in if we do it.....but im one of them people who likes to cut people off....but i guess i dont cut them off because they dont have to slow down at all beucase i just zoom right by....whats the point of having a fast car if ur not gonna do that??? its fun on interstate......well this all depends on my car situation too!!!

Its not safe for the person who isn't expecting it and I don't know about you but the last thing I want is more attention drawn to me on the streets. I'm serious, if you're gonna drive like an ass, don't come with.well i guess it all depends on what your definition of "cutting people off" is....because if we're driving down interstate and i start passing people and im still only going 80 then thats not really cutting people off....or if we are on the highway and i am passing people going 70 thats not really cutting people off either....like i said...i dont cut people off because i get ahead of them not just cut in right in front of them like an idiot..........but now that you say it....im going to do it to you just so you call my plates in....because the odds are the cops would send me a 20 dollar ticket in the mailing saying i was wreckless driving or something like that..i would take it to court...and you would have to come to small town Lisbon, North Dakota, say that i cut you off, then drive back which would cost you almost as much as my ticket would!........(but really i'm not going to cut you off or anything i was just being a smartass above....because if i did do that to someone else and they turned me in....thats what would happen except they wouldnt show up for court and i would win....beleive me...i've had it happen plenty of times...but not for cutting people off.)

this is a productive idea, lets procede with it, and not give anybody a reason not to do it. it will be fun and give every body a chance to meet some new people and have some fun.
the reason everybody fights on this forum is because alot of people dont now everybody very well and this will give them a good chance to do that. this will also let some cities know what is in fargo for cars and groups. lets just plan on a date and stick with the positive things. If some one wants to drive like a dumbass than we will have to take care of it then, or if they mention any thing like that then tell them not to come. -
If 30 of us are going to parade around north dakota I dont think we should be passing anybody doing 80.
