Does anyone know how a computer display looks on a plasma?
I have a 37" EDTV plasma and want to hook up a mac mini to it. the apple uses a DVI/HDMI output, and my monitor has the same. It also has a regular PC input.
The monitor says the DVI input is not meant for computer applications, but has anyone tried it, or knows how the display looks?I hooked up my regular computer up via the PC port today and it looks great.
Thanks

I dont think anyone can afford a Plasma TV when their all driving DSM's lol.
And not to mention the love to modify...so i certainly cant help you but hopefully some one can on here. -
How the image quality will look just depends on the resolution of the TV. Since you have enhanced defintion one, it will be 852x480 pixels.
So depending on what resolution you run, it will either look crystal clear or be slightly distorted (example: 640x480 or 800x600).
Eitherway, it should work fine; there are little adapters for DVI -> Analog if need be, and at such low resolution (computer wise anyway) you won't notice a huge loss in quality either.

well it looks great with the normal pc input, but the mac doesnt use that format.
most laptops use the DVI interface...surely someone has tried hooking it up that way..Adam
Most of our laptops just use the S-Video out for displaying on TV monitors and stuff...
As long as you keep the resolution fairly low, the screen will look good.
