not all lots buy cars for considerably less. at premier they only pay about $500 to 1000 less than the asking price. sometimes cars are sold there less than they pay. look at that tsi for instance. troy paid 2800 for it at an auction, put a tranny in it, and was asking 3500 so he could get all his money back out of it. troy ended up selling it for 2800If this was the case day in day out there would be no premier auto. If they only bring in 500 a car then they must be moving twice the amount of inventory I thought they did. 500 bucks over the cost of the car isnt even profit... that gets thrown back at the property tax, dealers liscence, ect. Congratulations to Premier Auto for selling the most cars annually in FM.

So your telling us that a business LOOSES money on a transaction; right. How would they stay in business?
Ok Sure

Harwood, normally I stay out of stuff like this, but I REALLY think you need to reconsider your price.

Your a fucking Retard!!!! I work for many car lots and and i have talked to them about what they pay and what they sell for and they usually make about 1000.00 on each car if they cant make money on the car they will bring it to tristate and wholesale it and get the money they paid for it 8 times out of 10
I know for a fact that ALLCity Auto has made 5,000 on a 1993 tsi about 4 years ago.. my point is that they can find them cheap enough and sell them for book value and still make a killing... Most car lots wouldnt be in business if they only made 500 on each car.. Mitch what do you think??

Nail on the freaking head.

I'm not sure who you were callin a retard, me or harwood but I only said that shit up there cuz he said he could sell it for 6 easily and Premier would sell it for 7500. I've been saying 6000 was too high the whole time. That was all sarcastic cuz i know he couldnt get 6 for it and even a dealer wouldnt go 7500.

Maybe we are all underestimating him..maybe he is saying 6 so people will try and negotiate their way down to 4 and think they are getting a deal....but i have been wrong before : )

I'd be wondering that if I saw a car from pre-1998ish w/ only 10k miles on it. Look for the obvious signs...worn brake pedal, worn seats, etc.... to see if it appears to have been a roll-back
