It's really not that far. I've driven there and back in one day multiple times.
I am sure there will be some good fishing that night as well.

How fast do you drive this trip!!!! I have never made it any faster than 4.5 hours...

made it in 4 hours in my work vehicle on monday. I just avoid carrington (sorta). Take I94 to Hwy 1 North (Rogers Exit). Go straight til you get to the Cooperstown intersection. Go west (I forget the hwy name) through Carrington continue on 52 west of Carrington until you get to minot (through Fessenden, Harvey, Martin, Annamoose, Drake, Velva, until you get to minot)
