I just took off my exhaust. The only exhaust I have is the downpipe and it has a tendency to backfire every once in a while. Was wondering if it would still do that if I put 2.5 inch full exhaust without a cat.

I have a full exhaust... cat, resonator and factory muffler and I can get a backfire when I zip through a gear or two. It sounds nothing like what you are probably hearing but I know it's a backfire... more like a "PUFF!" than a "BANG!" Make sense?

I think it would still backfire. After I got rid of my cat my car backfires sometimes when I let off the throttle, and it does on every 1/4 mile pass while I'm decellerating hard.

Yeah they do press bend but its better then stock and cheaper than mandrill bend. (If thats how you spell it)

You should just save enough for mandrel bent (they can weld the bends together), you'll regret pressbent...

I agree w/ Jim on this one, have someone weld you up an exhaust using mandrel bends. Caleb @ Type-R did mine, but I am positive any of the shops in town would be more than capable of handling your request for that.
