so i decided to keep the crx for now and i fixed all the rust and actually painted her with spray cans... *No it didn't turn out like shit 😉 the question i have is that i used omega automotive sanding primer... with lacquer... now doesn't lacquer absorb water? so that means that i'll have to clear coat it or what? or would the omega shit be good enough?

I would prime, paint, and clear it anyways.....that way the paint might make it through a North Dakota winter.

But a good sealer/glaze over the primer, it will stop bleedthrough....but you might be a little beyond that already.

It depends on if you have single stage paint or not. If you do shoot 2 coats wait about 1 week because single stage is softer, then buff in a sealer. If its not single stage: prime, shoot, then wet sand.
