So what's everybody listening to?
-
Currently I am listenin to Rammstein and The Bravery. I like Atomosphere, 80's hair bands: Ratt, Dokken, Van Halen, Lynch Mob. I gotta get some new music, I wanna get into some good electronica like Daft Punk or some like southern rap I guess it would be called.

I like Kenny G too.

Punk rock... and not that pop punk bullshit that replaced boy bands.
Im talking good punk like... Black Flag, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Bad Religion, Anti-Flag, AFI (before they became a bunch of goth music making pussies), The Decendants... list will go on forever so ill stop now.
Also listen to SOME emo and quite a bit of screamo (emo backed by screaming vocals) Along with a small selection of rap, beastie boys, blackalicious, talib kwali, mos def... shit like that.
Then you have the classic rock. The doors, Cream, Pink Floyd, you know the good stuff.
Also a bit of alternative contemporary shit... dunno how to classify it but bands like, Moddest Mouse, Jack Johnson, Ben Folds, Beck, Coldplay... real chill shit.
And some garage band shit, The Strokes, The Vines, Weezer... and such
Oh and for the first poster... Him isnt heavy metal its Love Metal and I listen to quite a bit of that, CKY, and Turbo Negro... Basically stemming off of a lot of skate videos and cky videos I have watched.

I lost all respect for Rammstein when the lead guy whipped his dick out on stage...I won't say what else he did.. -

i just find country singers are some of the only ones with actual vocal talent left anymore, or it just could be my redneck upbringingIf you like to hear yodelling (sp?), then you are correct.

Country music definitely puts more emphasis on the vocals than rock generally does. I can tolerate some of the newer country music, but I wouldn't play it if I have another choice.

Older country is ok like some Tim McGraw or Alan Jackson...but thats about it... for me anyway.

Tim McGraw and Alan Jackson were some of the first to do the crossover type music that attracted the pop crowd to country.
