i can do alot of stuff, the only thing i will have done at a shop is any welding, and paint.Having a car painted right is whats gonna cost the big $$. You cant do no Mayco job on a "show car". If you take a car to a body shop to have a full color change done right your looking @ an easy $4000+ paint job.

you can get the b series for about 1500 with tranny and it has so much more potential than the d series and if you are gonna go with a swap i would limp the current motor untill you can get a b16 you may need new motor mounts and that would be fairly simple to find instructions on the internet about where to put the mounts and there probably is a bunch of places in fargo that would know how to do it or minneapolis would deffinately get the job done and done right too good luck on the swap

I am in need of a D16 motor for my civic. My motor is burning oil like crazy. Valve seals are shot. Cheaper to buy a new/rebuilt motor than it is to get mine rebuilt. I would prefer a D16 complete with a tranny so it is lees work to drop in.Hey,
If only your valve seals are shot its going to be cheaper to fix them then to replace the whole engine..

that seems a bit high, though I can't say for sure. Who gave you the quote? Honda dealer? If you feel comfortable about pulling the head yourself, give Brian @ sturdevants a call and see what he'd charge to do your head for you. I've heard nothing but great stuff about him.
