    Hey,guys"and girls".
    I need some help regarding my beemer.
    You see i have this rims that are 17in's and tires to match,but was wondering if there is any way to find out if i going to slow or to fast?
    I was driving today on 94east and it seems that was passing (alot) of people.
    Is there at least a web site that can tell me how to calcualte my speed?

      what tires are you running?

      ...and then give me your stock tire size, and we can go from there...

              Well i sold the legend,and i needed another family car.I love this baby,its a 535i..
              I think the tire size is 245/40/17 something like that..

                well you'll need to know stock tire size (check the door jamb). ...because of course everything will be calibrated to the stock tire size, and you'll need to know stock tire diameter/circumfrence to compare to the 245/40/17 diameter/circumfrence to figure the % difference to know how far off the speedo is and to which direction...

                So yeah, get stock tire size, and make sure of your current tire size...

                and then jump on that site that vento posted and figure it out...

                and wallah, there you'll have your answer....

                  you can take it to a shop and ask the technician to take a look at the computer and have him put the new tire and rim diameter in and that will recalibrate your spedometer and it will be completely accurate

                      well on my eclipse in 5th gear is perfectly on alls i do is take the rpm's x 20 +10 and thats my speed haha.

                            not yet i have an appt. at Valley Imports ..once my car is done....but jeremy taught me hgow to read it lol....so who knows if its right...has he got thwe backfire fixed on his Sti Yet?
