That's Japan for ya'. Most of thier vehicles are very small and boxy. But heck, look at thier lack space. Some actually have to fold thier side view mirrors to fit in thier garages.

^How do they get out of there cars then?Good question. I am not sure, but I have seen many pics from people that were stationed over there. They may just leave the car in neutral and carefully roll it on in.

I believe the whole issue with the mirrors power folding in is more of a safety thing with drivers going down narrow streets near parked cars, not much to do with actually parking. I have seen some pictures of the streets there and they are narrow as hell. With the mirror folded in, it lessens the chance of it being damaged, along with the car being driven by. The power folding mirrors is an option, not standard. And the sunroof on the Type-R is and option to have due to Honda wanting the car as light as possible. Same with the radio on the Type-R too.

here's a better taste of japan's van culture, haha.

The style is called bosozoku and is completely ridiculous. These vans are one example. Cars and bikes also get bozo'd out like this. Crazy japs. -

I was more trying to explain the function of the power folding mirrors to those out there who dont understand them. Not trying to aim this at anyone in particular, just general knowledge.
