New to ND, Grand Forks area.

How's it going guys?
I'll be moving up to Grand Forks this fall from Lincoln, NE to go to school at UND, so as of mid august, I am a "poor college kid" I currently drive a 96 Acura Integra but I will not be bringing it to ND just because I am just tired of driving a freaking AUTOMATIC. (yes I can drive a stick perfectly fine I just didnt have much of a choice when getting my cars...this 'Teg or a Civic EX 5 spd...easy choice) So first off I'm going to try and find a decent car but I'm in a bit of a situation and need you ND local's opinions on it. From what I've heard, the winter in ND is hell on cars. So do most of you guys just buy a beater for winter and then bring out the "beasts" in nice weather? If so I might as well just save my money and buy a crappy, but fun beater for the next 2 years or so. When I do get a ride..whatever it may be haha I'll try and make some trips down to Fargo. A lot of you guys have some hella clean cars and it'll be fun getting to know people that can help me out with my future car tuning ambitions. See you around! -
just go and buy a AWD car and you will be set welcome by the way too!!
