New to Fargo Argument

It's personal preferance kirk, some people would rather have the 11 second teg. over a wrx. And y have you been riding ur high horse lately?
-
There is so much love on this thread it's awesome.

Subie vs the Teg... it really depends on what you want in a car. If you want something that is fast as shit and scares the hell out of you when you drive it (which is a lot of fun), then you want the Teg. If you'd rather have a nice daily driver and all year car then the Subie would be your choice. I wouldn't say one is necessarily better than the other... they are just very different.

Hop off of GSR's nuts everybody. Id take a Dub over his car. Name something other then 540 hp thats a plus for his car? yea great its an 11 second 540 hp Integra, whoopty do. Im sure youd really love it once november rolls around and you got to garage it for 4-5 months and just stare at it rather then drive it, which you can do with a WRX. What about paying 50 dollars a gas tank? C'mon, stop suckin up and thinkin with your dicks. Why would you take a primarly track car, no AC, no power steering, over a pretty nice, daily driver, all weather made for type of car....dumbasses...FUCK!whats wrong with gsr's car? Just because he built a race car doesnt mean that he couldnt have an awd year round car. He did what he wanted..... Yeah he has hell of horsepower and needs to work some things out traction wise, but kirk you arent beating bikes yet. A stock or mildy modded WRX is not a fast car to us, but it is quick compared to most cars on the street. Why compare a race car to an everyday driven car?

thats pretty much what im sayin. ok if i want high way rolls, ill hop into the integra, if iw anna drive to the track, ill hop into the integra. but track days are what, once every several weeks(street legals @ IDR), would you rather get stuck drivin a uncooled, very terrible fuel economy, no luxary integra? c'mon now.and im not ridin my horse or gettin worked up. the dumbasses part was just a vent. if you take offense to that, you should really stop readin this forum.

nothings wrong with it, i never said it was bad. I just said youd be nuts if youd rely on it to take you from A to B daily. -
do they have to be?
-
well if you take the amount of time the average subie is broken down then that equals about the same time as our normal winters last a year. only difference is repairing a car cost money. waiting for snow to melt doesn't.
j/kits all personal preference.

We should all get them and everyone would be soo happy. I forgot that you can't drive FWD vehicles in the winter? GSR doesn't have to run on race gas all the time, he just chooses to not tune his car for pump gas. I guarantee he would get better gas mileage than you if he did. My talon didn't have AC, or power steering, and I didn't drive it in the winter, but I assure you I would take it over a WRX anyday. I guess if I got a brand new STI handed to me, I would think Subaru's were the shit too.
PS, I don't really even know what this argument stems back to, just want to give you shit Kirk!! -
hey night rider, I think we should change your name to "Ricer Helper-Outer Guy". Mods, any help on this? I just spent most the weekend prepping my car for paint and just got done painting some of the parts last night about 3 AM. I'll post the pics of the car when its all done and then see what ya say. You prolly gonna say its rice anyway because in the end, you still gonna have your allowance, you'll have nothing to lose by talkin' shit about other people's work, and you will still be the punk ass bitch you are. So far, on this board, everyone is cool as shit on here except you. You are the only person on here that had something remotely negative to say. Which is all cool, its just what goes around, comes around.

How did this turn into a GSR vs. Subaru argument? Hahah. Subarus are like DSMs but slower when it comes down to most of it. Especially once they start to make power.
And one other thing... I never put my car together to be a luxury mobile. 1. It's an Integra. 2. It has cloth seats. 3. It hasn't had A/C or Power Steering for 4 years.
It's just a civic w/ a different body.

I never took it as that (though it did turn into wrx vs gsr all the sudden). No doubt, if you want to go fast in a straight line w/ AWD the best answer is a dsm for the money. It can be argued that the evo is probably the best modern compromise between straight line acceleration and handling, not in any small part due to the HUGE aftermarket support for the 4g63. The STi (in the hands of a good driver) is slightly quicker through 1320 feet than is the evo (both stock). The Evo however is better at cornering and can (relatively) easily be made fast for 1/4 mile racing as well. Easy street has gone 8.93 @ 153 w/ their wrx, not quite where Shephard has gone w/ his DSM, but the gap is getting slightly closer.

just for the record, I don't think I have a snowballs chance in hell at beating GSR in the foreseeable future.

Sweet Jesus this has turned into a pissing fest.
-
It aint a pissing contest.
