240SX Problems

ok update..
Gasket is fixed and it actually sounds normal...a regular DSM T25 gasket wouldnt work but got a 300zx gasket...I just timed the motor, put new plugs in it(might be one range too hot?), and installed a walbro 255lph HP pump(yeah i dont like S14s anymore)...
when I go WOT it stutters at around 5k...it sounds like its popping and shit...no knock or anything...I also just noticed today that when I am at WOT it only says 69-70% on the AFC...i checked out the injectors to make sure they were still all good...it has the Z32 maf and stock unchipped ECU...i know thats a problem but it still should be good once i get above 2k or so...help me out...
-
well i just took it out again after double checking the timing and it pulled a shitload better but it still liked to pop at 6500 in any gear...i think im gonna look at the timing again just to make sure its exact...this time i did see 75% from the TPS so idk...

Oh... if you think your TPS is messed. Just unplug it and drive the car will run fine, but a bit richer if the problem is the same. could very much so be the TPS.
If you unplug the TPS and you get a rough/worse idle and a bit more hesitation all round or a tiny lack of power all round then the TPS is not the problem

i still say that if you don't think it's the tps, and you think you're injectors are good, then what aboout that maf., are you sure it's wired right, and is set up right in the afc, and how about fuel pressure?? you have a fpr??
BTW, are you in Fargo or the cities, i may be able to convince someone to get to fargo and help you out.

what type/style of AFC do you have? do you have it adjusted correctly? running too rich will foul plugs, but running too lean will cause pops, usually. also, is your TPS out of adjustment? I know on older nissans, you can adjust the tps within like a 15 degree range of motion.

if you have a good injector that you know is a 370 and a 550 take yours out and call midland diesel service they have injector cleaners and stuff, but they dont have a unit that calculates what they actually flow but they flow into a tube and you could see differances in amounts that came out. my dad works there talk to craig

well...it could be my maf but supposedly the car wont run if the maf is not plugged in right? If it is wired wrong changes are its sending weird signals if anything to the ECU...wait now that i think of it he had it unplugged when i got there and it was running and i actually drove it unplugged and he told me that it was unplugged later...we had to actually set up the AFC when we got to the car since it was set up wrong the first time so I know FOR SURE this time it has the right In and Out numbers...and all fuel is stock except for a 255HP pump...I have a SAFCII...on the way home and up until the other day it had been completely zero'd out so it was basically outta the system...i just recently took 5% off of the fuel from like 3k or so all the way up...yeah i was told it looks rich(black smoke and now fouled plugs) but smells lean so wtf does that mean? I did actually adjust my TPS and got the right .45v and 4.05v out of it...
The car came with bored out 550s in a box but im starting to wonder if he actually took em out or not...maybe i could compare the 2 and find out which ones are bigger etc...
