Mod Tickets Instructions on post 1
-
you guys aren't understanding the purpose of this thread I don't think. I have a feeling Jerome was looking for stuff other than speeding as that is normally an open/shut deal. Like have you ever been pulled over for exhibition driving? If so was the ticket warranted and what did you do to get the ticket (what did the cop say you did...whatever).
-
yes as the title says mod tickets or yeah ex. would be included being they said that in the forum article
This should be a way for us to track what they are actually doing so we know if we have to change exhaust or what not...
I was reading the ordinace and one thing is even the little stickers I have on my windows I could get a ticket for obstruction or something like that... if they want to get hard core

This ticket still torques me even tho it was about 2 or 3 years ago...
I was driving the Supra out to Fleet Farm to pick up some tools or some crap. I was driving normally, obeying the speed limit, not messing around. I had noticed some dipshit run through a red light shortly before this cop gets right on my ass. He follows me from 32nd Ave to the Fleet Farm entrance where he finally flips on the lights. I pull over, and he comes up with this smart ass attitute... Cop: "do you know it's illegal to not have a front license plate" Me: "yep" Cop: "you need to roll up your windshield so I can check the tint" Me: "what?" cop: "roll it up so I can check it" (mind you I had been driving with the passenger window down) So he checks the tint and of course it's illegal. So he says he's gonna write me up, he goes back and writes everything up, comes up and hands me the ticket (still acting like a smart ass) tells me I can go to court or pay the ticket. Then he turns and walks away... I stuck my head out the window and said "Have a nice day".

Yeah....that one does suck dave. Ever notice that Vette's, Vipers and BMW's don't get harrassed for that stuff?
I got pulled over @ Devils Run last year for having a loud exhaust (its a musclecar show.....EVERYONE has loud exhausts) and he ended up writing me a ticket for no front plate instead (Again...car show, noone had a front plate). Both things I was guilty of, but it still sucked. The city cops didn't write one fricken ticket all weekend, but this guy (highway partolman Jody Skogen) wrote 26....all bullshit/minor stuff. I got asked about my tint as well....and I don't even have tint.

That's a little bit of bs. It'd be worth it to go all out and try to get ford lawyers out here. Not that that will happen, but if it's stock, it is a distinct possibility.

i will just keep fighting it. i dont have anything to do anyways. i printed some stuff off the internet from the svt website and im going to bring that in to prove that it comes stock and that because it makes noise, there is no reason to get a ticket. oh well
if any of you were there with me the night i got the ticket, i will let you know the court date, and if you can make it, it would be greatly appreciated.
i was driving a red 99 lightning. note for those of you who dont know what it is, a red f-150 regular cab stepside box different front facia and its low to the ground, oh yeah, and it has 400hp
-
its 10th st. that you got pulled over on.
i can relate to 2 stories. i wasn't modded but still almost exhibition driving. racing ticket on 32nd ave. in fargo that was a 300$, that hurt...but atleast i won the race, heh. but bone stock then..
then the day of autovations got a 160$ ticket for driving kevins civic back and forth for work..mind you didnt want to waste my gas in my car cause i had a full tank for hte drive to the cities. Some asshole cop came from a side road by skateland, flipped his lights, pulled into acme tool crib, i got the whole lecture- No front license plate, OK yea i see that. No seat belt- YEa i see that, Im not goin highway speeds here. No Exhaust/muffler-No shit. I hope you heard that. all of that totaled to 160. Sure it sucked ass but atleast while he was lecturing me, i was scratchin my sack and he goes "DONT SCRATCH YOURSELF WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU"
i felt good about that haha.

don't forget dual exhaust out of the passenger side behind the cab. Or is it drivers, not remember ing right now.
-
passenger side, very observant for the low numbers around here
i forgot about that, i guess i could throw in 5 spoke svt rims while im at itted

Note the car in the sig, I also have a Mustang tattoo. Of course I'm gonna notice that. FOrds rule, but that's another thread.

i've gotten 3 tickets for tinted windows and one for a loud muffler. all $60 a piece
a different ticket that pisses me off is when i got a ticket for "failure to control my vehicle" on a icy street where there was atleast 2 other accidents the same day (i checked the police dispatch logs later that night). i wasnt even driving my talon so apparently he was just a normal asshole to everybody cop
-
I got pulled over for my yellow headlights on the highway by an HP and got a fix it ticket, than when im in town passing many cops, not one pulled me over. But whatever. I have my fair share of tickets: Failure to control vehicle, Ex. Driving, 48 in a 30, Seatbelt(wanted to write me up for wreckless because i didnt slow down through a corner), Running a red
-
i wish i could remember half the tickets i got, i'm thinking to ask the State DMV for a copy of my driving record.
-
i poop to much.
mark that down as a ticket
-
this didn't happen in fargo but i can relate to you guys, my driving record is far from clean, and i'll admit its my own stupidity that made it that way. last summer i was hauling ass up highway 5(the road from bottineau to lake metigoshe) and i stopped by a boat ramp and decided to light em up and see how much smoke i could roll....while the smoke is clearing i see cherries, so i figure the cops gonna write me up for exhibition....but he nails me for exhibition and speeding cause when i pulled up to the boat ramp i was doing 12 over(i'd been sitting there for 10 minutes when i decided to light them up, why didn't he nail me for speeding when he caught me speeding?)
another one, back in april(there was still sand on the roads, my tires had shit for traction), me n a buddy were sitting at town and country shootin the shit for about 15 minutes when a cop(with tourettes haha) pulled behind us and lit us up. he said he saw us take off from a stop light, spin our tires(on sand) and that he was sighting us for exhibition, speeding, and drag racing. long story short we got the drag racing dropped, but the speeding and exhibition cause me to lose my license for 2 weeks in may, then in july i get a letter from the state saying i was losing my license again for a month FOR THE SAME TRAFFIC STOP.
the moral of my story, isn't there some kind of limit on how long a cop has to sight someone for a violation, or can the legally wait 20 minutes before they decide to stop the guy while he's in a parking lot and write him up for something that happened almost half an hour earlier?

Wow, the original poster was trying to make a thread on if people are getting ticket due to the new ordinances in Fargo and such, and instead everyone posts up their life stories on tickets since they started driving.
