So as im walking out of school today i see this kid minding his own walking across the street. All of a sudden a cop pulls up asks for his ID and gives a J Walking ticket. This was after school. Do u know how many people J Walk across the street after school. Talk about some Bull from the Grand Forks Police.

agreed... I would rip it into a bunch of pieces and throw it in his face and walk away hahaha, jk, but it would be pretty funny to do that. cause thats bull, there are SO many people that j walk period, no matter where it is

...more bitching about stupid shit....

Wonder if they have quotas for citations up there too. Maybe it was crunch time and the po po was getting desperate. Seriously though, that's pretty weak.

Ok, sorry about ripping on this guy, but I'll say straight out. I'm willing to bet that this was in front of Central High School. People DO jay walk there all the time (and almost get hit by cars, and almost cause car accidents), and when I was a freshman there (in 97) they started enforcing it. Maybe that is why I was rude about it. I saw people getting cited for it ALL the time from 97 on.

Ya Somebody got hit last year and she still cant walk. But i dont understand doing it for one person when there is about 100 to 200 people who walk across the street like that.So then if someone got hit while doing it and people are STILL doing it, then why shouldn't the cops try to stop it?
The reason why they can't ticket 100 to 200 people at a time is because there aren't 100 to 200 cops there to inforce it at all times. So when small groups or lone people do it they ticket that person. It isn't that the cop specifically singled out that person for any reason, it is because the person was (I'm assuming) alone and the cop was making an example out of them.
