I was on 38th St. going south in the direction of West Acres. I was distracted by a guy in the lane to the right of me with a big modified truck, and suddenly I noticed an old lady in a big Cadillac slowly crossing the road to turn left. She cut off both of us and seemed totally oblivious.

statistics have shown younger males are safer drivers than women lately, but instead of lowering males rates and raising females rates, insurance companies raise males just a little bit and raise females a lot. I hate insurance companies.

My hypothesis is that female drivers are a little more likely to get in routine fender benders, but male drivers predominate in the more spectacular crashes with causes like drunk driving or, less often, street racing, which generate huge liability costs.

There are many females that are awful drivers, but not ALL of us are! There are many people of both sexes that shouldn't be allowed to drive, imho. =P
