I have been reading some stuff online about my car, Im just asking for other peoples input that own/know about my car....sorry if that upsets anyone, Well I essentially want a show car that can run 13's or lower and can still be used as a daily driver.

I can about guarantee you that it already runs 13's.

I think the other owner ran 14 something at a lower mph. I think that engine is a little tired.

Geez this is a funny thread to read, I almost feel bad to let that nice camaro be riced out, I just hope you don't do anyhting too crazy.

Shane, ask me about performance stuff, and if you need help with installing parts, let me help, I have a full shop and a welder so we can do whatever you want.

As for performance parts, to finish up the suspension, I would get control arm relocation brackets and sub frame connectors. I would not reccomend supercharging that engine unless you are going to put a new engine in first. I was planning on rebuilding it this fall since I baught a LT4 kit from Jegs for that car.

On another note, my Mom loved the Mustang, exactly what she wanted and she even loved the color.

Since you now have my camaro, I decided I am buying a Corvette to replace it, maybe a 91-96 style with a 6-speed.

But give me a call or stop by if you have questions or need help. I would like to see the camaro done the right way. If I were you I wouldn't mess with the body or neon lighting, I know I baught neons for that car, but after looking at them, I liked the stealth look that car has at night.

I also have race tires for that car I paid $270 each for.

I imangine he will use it on his C4.

Just to let you know, the LT4 kit is a HUGE waste of Money.

              HUGE!

              Ask me why.

Because, all you get is a cam SLIGHTLY larger than the LT1 cam, , heads and intake that flow only slightly better than the stock LT1. Most people only see ~ 310 rwhp from this set up. The cam is NOT the same as the LT4 HOTcam. PEople with LT4 hotcams ALONE have seen close to 340 rwhp.

H/C LT1's out out ~400-425 rwhp, and cost about as much as the LT4 kit.

                  It's a giant rip off.

earlier u said u want a show car that is capable of running in the 13's or better.

what does a show car look like to you? does it look like the ones u see at car shows winning? or just the ones that enter, cuz they have a few mods?

i am not trying to say you will never have a show car, but show cars have quite a bit of money put into them. just because u put vynil graphics and neons and paint the inside or ur interior does not make it a show car. if people are looking at it, they are probably making fun of it. ur gonna get just as many looks with neons, etc, as u will with just the way it sits now.

another thing is, a camaro is not a show car, its a muscle car. thay look good just how they came from the factory, dont add anymore to it.

Well my race tires are brand new, baught them for next season, but I guess I will not have the car then. They work on stock 16" camaro or trans am wheels, made by hoosier.

The LT4 kit will eventually get used, probally if I get a new Vette. I had the heads and intake ported and polished, plus I have a throttle body to match, and my cam is a little bigger than what actually comes with the kit.

^never ever win an award at a big show with a camero. What is the main reason you ask? there will always be another chevy, cavalier to be specific, with four more tvs then you, ten more leds then you, and it will probably make 500hp with crushed velvet interior.

If you are going for show with that camaro, it will be better to keep it as close to stock as possible. Tasteful mods, such as rims (not god-awful ugly 18s), upholstery, and things like that help, but it should look like it should have been there from the start.

From looking at your pics in the members rides section you need to freshen up that old LT1 before any mods. Plugs, wires, pcv valve, all filters, O2 sensors, clean the injectors and throttle body.I would also look at doing some simple tests like compression, leak down, oil pressure, and fuel pressure before any mods to see what kind of condition the engine is in.

Do a search on camaroz28.com how how to clean your engine. That optispark doesn't like to get wet.
