104.7 the dam
-
Actually the Dam has lost in the ratings to Q98 every time ever since they started.
And the dam turning into a country station was a rumor that Clear channel decided to not put a stop to until Outlaw Country came back. I was talking to a Y94 DJ who couldn't tell me anything other than "they may be changing formats, but not to country, that was just hype until we brought Outlaw back." It seems as though this 5 second song clips thing was the actual format change.
I'll know for sure when my girlfriend gets home.
-
retarded. how could the dam score lower in ratings than q98? q98 plays 1 good song for every 18 bad ones and the dam was probably 1 good song for every 4 bad ones. hopefully your girlfriend gets home soon

104.7 the dam is definately off air. I was pulling back into town when they went off.
It's not a joke, it's gone and done. The whole dam team is on 101.9 the box now. T-Bone, jack black, etc as well as the bob and tom morning show. -
This town officially sucks nuts for radio stations. I can wait to get the heck out of here.

I don't think I've listened to the radio for more than a couple minutes in the last 2 years. Fargo stations suck ass.

Also people who have XM do still listen to FM sometimes.

why would you listen to a local radio station when your paying for good stations with no commercials??

free xm membership

They had a goodbye thing for the last hour. They explained that it was a local corporate decision and not a national decision.
The best part was before they signed off for good they said "Oh, By the way, Q98 still sucks!".
And that was it.

So is it going to keep doing 10 sec. clips or will that change. I see thats what it is still doing.

suck....the dam used to be the only thing that kept me going at work this summer
-
The new station doesn't go live for awhile I don't think.
-
wow.. that's really a downer...
If for whatever chance I'm back at my old job this summer, I really hope there's a decent new channel to replace 104.7. Spending 10-14 hours/day, 6 days/week listening to the radio.... usually on 104.7..
(there's only so much country and girlypop I can handle in a day...)
