Titties. Now you just need some fat tires to handle the power.

will soon find out as soon as the single plane intake and new clutch go in and somtime this month. but i think its going to be faster than it is, and i am sure i will need to locate a 12Bolt at some point.

I think the 8.5" gear would suffice in that baby and may be a little easier to locate. Could be wrong though. You will need to ditch the 7.5" in therefor sure unless you were lucky enough to have yours equipped with the 8.5". But if I was going to do a 12 bolt, wouldn't a 9 inch be easier to fab in there? Not to mention cheaper. I know that the 12 bolts have become rather spendy these days. Unless you happen to have a spare layin around or know of a good deal on one. Looks pretty bad ass. I'd like to hear the sound of a V8TT.

Why cut corners on such a bad ass machine.

Also, as some of the 94-96 impalla SS guys how the 8.5" gear does on their 800 rwhp machines.

I don't see how any of what I said could be misconstrued as cutting corners. The 12 bolt is a very strong rear gear but it is very expensive when compared to the 9 inch. And seeing as how neither would bolt in the car directly, I thought the 9 inch would be alot more obtainable and parts have been proven time and time again to be cheaper. Not to mention the ease of changing ratios when it suits him. But, I still do think that the 8.5 gear would easily suffice for well over 400+ hp. Just a little advice that's all.

Moser and strange have bolt in 9's and 12 bolts. 12's aren't too much more expensive.

He's going to be running 700+ hp. the 8.5 would be too close for comfort IMO.

If that is the case then i apologize. Well, the 9 inch still offers quicker gear changes. I do agree that for those hp levels that the price would be alot closer.

9 inch will weigh about 50 lbs more, and rob more hp on the dyno.

a 35 spline 12 bolt is more than enough for the power he is running.

There is a mamber of CZ28.com running 1100 rwhp through a strange 12 bolt pulling 1.38 60 foots.

I would say thats more than enough axle.
