he beat on it without redlining it thats all im trying to sayWho "beats" on their car, and races people without taking it to redline at least sometimes. Redline isn't that high, maybe he doesn't take it to the rev limiter but i can almost guarntee it has seen redline many times.

Why take it to redline? Most cars dont make power up there.

Exactly, why buy/build a fast car if you're always gonna drive it conservatively? As long as you have good oil and a fully warmed up engine, I don't see any reason to call redlining your car "beating on it". Your car was designed after all to handle those engine speeds and not break. That is unless of course you bounce off the rev-limiter all day. -
This is true.
As I just told Jon via MSN, as I was starting to disconnect everything tonight, as soon as I took off the intake pipe, oil started dribbling out. That's not usually a good sign. If I get the time/motivation while I wait for my CA to get here (which I probably will have), then I'll see what all got fucked up when the motor shat itself.

No, sorry. Beating the crap out of an engine is not normal.Just cuz you drive a mustang and it can't take it, doesn't mean others shouldn't.

Yes, thats it. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that driving your car hard is a bad thing. I drive mine hard. Just being stupid and driving like the guy with the yellow GTO does is bad.
