Various Shops In Town
-
Ok, everyone seems to always ask what shops can do what, I am going to give my observations on the strengths of each of the shops in town. If I forget one, I apologize.

Probably one of the best shops in town in regards to making your car fast in the 1/4 mile. They originally were known (mostly) for their fast DSM's, but Tufte has shown repeatedly that he can make a variety of cars quick (Integra, Civic, etc...) They are very competent at motorswaps, turbo design, etc.. Tufte also has a very nice looking show IS300, that was not overdone, but blended quite well. He'll probably kill me for saying this, but he is good w/ Fiberglassing and other stereo modifications as well.Tintmasters

Originally started in Grand Forks but expanded to Fargo a few years back. They seem to be the jack of all trades shop as they do just about everything from tinting to swaps to autostarts to bolt on's. It seems that they cater more towards bolt on products and/or "show" pieces. They also do some audio/video. They probably stock more product than any other shop in town for performance parts.Roadsounds

Another stereo shop that has gotten into the performance market. They primarily seem to do bolt-on type products, but I'm sure Fitzy is capable of much more than that. Big incentive for shopping there: Financing. They can often get financing to cover big purchases or upgrades which is something I don't think (and could be wrong) that any other shop in town really offers.[COLOR=red]Type-R Motorsports

Hey, that's me!!!! Actually, I am not a shop per say. I sell car audio/video from my home at prices just above my cost. I also do custom installations of car stereo equipment. I am a 1994 graduate of Mobile Dynamics and have worked at various stereo shops throughout the state since then. I also do autostarts and security systems. I don't touch performance mods (aside from UTEC tuning w/ a wideband O2) on other peoples cars, I leave that to the more experienced people listed above.EDIT: THREAD LOCKED. If anyone sees anything that needs changing, PM me.
