So i bought a gay honda, the wrecked one from DL. It ran fine, trailered it, brought it back, ran, took out the Stereo, speaker, overhead lights, and cut the seat belt monitor. now the fuel pump is not working. Its electronic carbed, and fires if i throw starter fluid down into it. Need some honda guys thoughts or suggestions.

Well it's dual point fuel injection I'm guessing? Like he said try a main relay from someone elses 88-91 civic. That's usually the problem. It was hot today sometimes they will act up when it's hot. If I remember right the problem was cracking in the solder or something like that.

I called him today (if bryce gave me the right number and my stupid fat fingers didn't fuck it up) we'll see.

i think those fuel pumps are right underneath the rear seat, you can always hook it up to a 12v power source to see if its working, or you might have accidentally taken out the wiring for it like a ground or something it needs to function, if thats the case the sending unit prolly isn't going to work either and the gauge in your cluster will be off, if it does end up being that you can always just run a few wires from ignition and battery back to your pump

It took me two trips to bring the right relay, but kyle did some 3 minute magic and the car run fine. Well as fine as any carbed honda with 260k on the clock runs.

i'm not much of a honda person myself.... but isn't dual point just honda's way of saying throttle body injection? which could easily be mistaken for an "electronic carb" cuz that's pretty much what it is being it replaces everything except the throttle blade and the body and just puts an injector right on top in the middle of the bore?

I like to think of it as a carb. so I will continue to do so. for the 2 weeks before the motor blows up.
