So what's the worst month in winter?

depends on the year....sometimes its November, sometimes its March....could be any of them really. But I guess if I had to pick one....late January/early February seems to have the most cold days and strong winds (Hope you like wind chill temps of -40 degrees or more)

Meh, I just cut a 2x4 foot hole, sit in a warm darkhouse and spear my northerns...and leave the tip-ups out to catch other fish. What could be better than sitting in a warm fish house, drinking and smoking cigars, watching tv depending on the house and all u have to do is listen to the rattle wheels go off.

so, um, why are you coming up here? im born and raised in the south. my first winter it was -80 and i was roofing. it takes a while to get used to winters heres. gotta love spear fishing!!
