It really wasn't all that off topic, I asked about classes for small SUV's, the response was made, someone commented on the vehicle and its transmission, I stated it had paddle shifters, and we are now back on topic

i hear that all the time.
        BUT
        to each their own.
autoX looks a blast. so i hope to give it a go this next year.
my car is by no means a car made for it, but will still give it a go.

Your car is a lot closer to an autocross style car then mine and i still might try it. Who knows, my car won't be good for it but it is about fun right....

            yes it is about fun.
something i have read about autoX is that is helps you drive better evenif you are not the fastest out there. as you have to see better. you have to learn your car to do your best.
then the next event is dif course and you have to do it all over again.

I will be all for some auto-x next year. Hopefully we can get some up in GF again....I already have a nice collection of parts for next year, and it just keeps getting bigger, except i'm running out of space in my bedroom to store them all.... 😄

All that I got to say is fargo is fun as hell yes! But If your willing to make the drive, Bismark's p-lot is basically brand new! It was so much fun driving on NEW pavement then the shit in West Fargo. You def. grip better and handling is totally different. The only downfall is the drive but it's def. worth it.

as for class i would run in.
i did not see my car listed on the SCCA site. so dunno where i would run. guess i would not really care too much.
as for what will be done.
i guess i am not totally stock as i have front and rear STB's on it now. needing tires. not sure if i am gonna replace my BFG Traction T/A's with the same or go with something else. this time around they are gonna be all season. who knows what or if i will do summer tires. no funds for wheels yet, but if i do then i will get summer for those. i am lookin at the stock Bonneville GXP wheels. which i think are 18x7.5 or mayb 18x8. but for now keeping the stock stuff. just no funds for toys.

I plan on running about 2 degrees negetive rear and 1.3 or so front. gott find someone with free access to an alignment rack...

Yeah, thats the thing, I don't think I'll be playing around with alignment too much since I don't have access to an alignment rack and don't wanna be going back and forth from street/auto-x alignment.

I gotta decide wether or not I wanna get coilovers or a nice springs/shock combo.
