I don't know what you guys are talking about I dove my car for a week with just headers and the 2.5 inch H-pipe on, its about as loud as a jumbo jet taking off over your head, passed a few cops and never got pulled over. I also drove it for two years with no mufflers just a hollowed out cat and the cops complimented me on it every time lol

And the indy car thing is what others told me. I know they prolly exaggerated a lil. And I wont start a thread if I get a ticket. Instead maybe I'll start my own forum about or something.

aftermarket anything is technically illegal... i believe the law states that modifying your vehicle in any way shape or form thats not stock, could potentially be illegal...

Modifications are not illegal some are but there are a lot that are not. Putting an aftermarket muffler on is one of them, provided it does not produce unresonable amounts of noise and smoke its not illegal, but again that is at the discretion of the officer.

they should and do.... I ran a 15.7 when my car was stock and it was 97 degrees out. And since then now I've got a full audio system in the trunk and larger diameter wheels. The Rx8 isn't much of a straightline car. Turns are fun. And I wouldn't doubt if I blow at driving.

Anthony you crak me up! lol im waiting for the day i get pulled over for the exhaust, im just going to deal with it and pay the fine! the way i look at is if i get pulled over and get a ticket i deserve it, if i dont then id fight it. oh well thats life. i know ill get shit for saying this, but i personally think i have calmed down on driving like a dumbass from when i first got my DL and im sure most of you guys would disagree with that but whatever!
