If I was going DBL din, I'd spend a little bit more and do the DVD player. Just my .02.

I don't personally like jvc because of their lack of frequency and audio controls but install on those bonnevilles is easy. And I agree with wes.

I believe it's the Bose system. Can I just add in an aftermarket amp into the current system?

The information you seek should be able to be found here. Contact me if you need pricing on those kits.

Can anyone confirm that I need the following modules to keep features in the car...

                Metra GMOS-09 for chimes/RAP/etc.
PAC SWI-X for steering wheel controls

Dont quote me, but... that car might need a data retention harness for a radio install, i know my 2000 van did. if you need one i have one, it was a spendy little shit. i dont need it. Check into it, tjamz could tell you more than i can on that particular car.

PAC SWI-X sucks balls. Get the one that's made specifically to work w/ the head unit that you purchase. Most of them plug into the back of the head unit and actually work good, all the time.

Yeah, I found that the SWI-JACK will work for the XG700.
