I fail at motorcycles, life.

I layed my bike down for the first time today. It was horrible. I wasn't even moving. And there were people..
I had just stopped in front of my garage door. Failed to remember that I was having problems with neutral engagement last year, I trusted the light. Like a dumbshit I let the clutch out fast and the bike jerked. I didn't have alot of weight on it so it took me off balance and down I went, down the bike went, down my pride went.
I must have layed there for a full second or two because I remember reflecting on how much of a sweet move that was, and how I had hoped there were people watching.
I raised my head up only to realize that my prayers had been answered and roughly 6 people, also getting ready to ride, were indeed watching. After choking back the immediate OMG VOMIT reflex I picked myself up off the ground, picked the bike up, and went about my business. I can only hope those other guys talk about it later tonight. It was epic.

haha sorry but that's great. I did something similar the first day I owned my first ninja. Pulled into the skatepark and parked in the gravel, hit my brakes and my front went out from under me. Shoulda know it was gonna happend, Don't care though I got a round of applause for it and the bike was only 300$.... Haven't been down since knocks on wood
K I have but the fiddie doesn't count

sucks, man. I'm hoping to avoid a similar situation.. like they say, though, first time for everything, and glad you weren't moving any faster than that. My dad had to lay down his 03 road king when a blue-hair cut him off last year, took a left turn right in front of him when he was going 30-35.. on the plus side, insurance covered that one, but it's still amazing what people will pull on you while you're riding. I haven't put any miles on yet this year.. waiting for the sand and gravel to be gone.. still wary of all the morons on the road though.
