Hey i want to replace the pleather grey door inserts on my type s with red suede, but i dont know what type of suede to use? (apholstery, apparrel etc...) anybody care to chime in with some thoughts on this. Also, what do you think of red suede with the grey interior rsx? I already have a red shift boot and the dash lighting is red.

Hard plastic piece now, right? Easiest, way that comes to mind is to use flocking I can get it for you, I'll have to double check the price though.

I would say black/dark color would look better then red. Especailly with the exterior color of your car.

I assume that you are looking for something when you get back up here?

We carry Alcantara (much nicer looking/feeling/more stretch to it), and we carry the pseudo suede as well. Stop into the shop and I can show you both.

Alcantara is the best of the best of the best, and you'll pay for it! But it looks sooooooo sexy! The 07 Avalanche that is custom painted/24's/erything we did Alcantara on the complete headliner, front/side pillars and it is DEAD sexy.

you might be able to contact someone with sparco and see if you can just buy the material that they use to cover the seats. i know you can with brides.

Check online, and you probably want to buy alcantara, it's a bit nicer of a product.

Flocking is much easier and has a great result for the money invested...basically remove the piece you want covered, clean it really good w/ a degreaser, then brush on the adhesive and dust on the flocking...wait 24 hours before touching piece again and reassemble door.

really? do you know where i can find a read up on flocking? i just thought that tearing off the pleather and then using adhesive would be pretty easy. How difficult is it to do head liner and A pillars?
