I signed up for the Bemidgi Show, thinking my red car was going to be there.... But, I paid for it, so I went and put the beater in. lolz. I also even plan to put my 240 in HIN in the cities this year. It is not a "show" car. But what ever, being there is most of the fun. If I do not get a trophy, I don't care. If I do, thats even better.great attitude faber, and tony is right. if i was in fargo still i would have my app filled out and paid for (for the zilla, yea...you heard me)
i had a blast at the show last year and heard GREAT things about my civic, on top of that i got an award....something very unexpected. so why can anyone else do the same. you never know what will happen. besides you get to here what other people like/dislike and how they would do different with your car.
in my opinion is worth it...hands down.
as for the evo.....ehhh...
i got it registered today after and it started to rain so i figured...good time to go play right...wrong. as soon as i started driving hard on it things started to ge screwy. every gear was grinding, diff clunking and locking up. all sorts of madness.
the guy i bought it from filled me with a load of shit.
many of the accesories in the car dont work at all, and i was lied to about the service done to it.
he said he got everything serviced, and put in a new aftermarket clutch, becasue he was selling it. turns out he got nothing serviced. i need a timing belt, trans service, x case service, diff service, coolant flush (BADLY) and an oil change. on top of all of that either the clutch of the clutch master cylinder might need to get replaced if the new fluid/shortened rod/adjustment doesnt work.
....amazing what carfax can do.
other than that the car kicks ass. looks good sitting in my driveway.

I'll most likely be there wandering around looking at stuff.. but seriously.. I don't drive anything show-worthy. Everything I have is "not for show, not for go".. so I'll be pure spectator.
i could bring in the tri-color 87 crx, and win a prize for slowest, ugliest car? hmm.

I will be there, however, i dont think the benz is show worthy yet, has a couple little spots in the paint that need to be addressed, and a hole in the driver seat, almost done with her though. lol its a little to zero dollar project as of right now. the only pic i can find of it is an older pic with the origional white paint, it has since been painted a variation of a 05 escilade satin pearl white.

Here is an idea. Even if you do not think your car is "show" worthy enough enter the show, enter it as team Fargostreet. Not only will this show support for the event, but it will also highlight the website. Many forums do this, such as MNsportcompacts, europrojekts, s2ki, etc...
I know I do not regulary post, but I have met a lot of people who are into cars lately, but have no idea about the site, or the "scene" that exists. You guys are the younger guys who still have the energy after work to go out and crusie, or stay up all night posting. Expand the community, come out and enter the show!
+1 for tony! i think it would be a cool idea to get some guys from the forum and have them rep it at the show! and it would also be cool to see many different types of cars other then imports there too!
