No you dont have to race in order to be apart or participate in the scene. If you read what I posted it also said other events as well. That includes meets and car shows.

Yes ending up in a parking lot is weaksauce. I agree.

But Its not just show cars out. My car isnt a show car. LOL.

The scene just isnt what it used to be.

          oh he's just the beginning...

Maybe I've just outgrown the parking lot standing of my younger years - back when we used to Wal-mart stand like 3 or 4 years ago.

I don't mind ending up in parking lots. It gives everyone a chance to hang out and dick around.

BTW, I got some good footage for the vid last night...but if there are only going to be like 10-15 different cars out all year I'm not even going to bother filming. That would get old quick...cuz half of them are slower than piss.

we need to bring back the glory days when people would actually mod their cars then ACTUALLY RACE

Don't you hate it when some kid beats you at the drag strip, then calls you out on the street, but backs down when you're more than eager to meet his challenge?

That's what I call a waste of gas and time, haha.

a few years ago, it was easy to go out of town and get some races in, or even highway pulls past best buy, but then the yuppies started following everyone around, attracting too much attention, and bringing the racing into town. Thats when the older crew quit coming out, and quit giving a shit, it never fails. Ask any of the older guys, thats what did it in for us.

I don't understand I guess. If you want to go to the country and race then come to the meet and call people out. Psi2hi if people like you or the real OGs of the scene came out once and awhile it would actually be something again. Just my opinion

The best days were down at McDonalds, NW Autobody, and NW Audio on main way back in the day.

lol OMG i don't go and stand in a parking lot and follow the same 3 people around. I was into is about 4 years ago when it was acutually big meets and the people with 'fast' cars would go south of town and race. Now its just this 'follow the riced out show cars' around shit and that gets real old, real fast.

Dragstrip- raced my car. hasn't changed so why race again?
AutoX- not my thing. so why spend money to go?
Car Shows- seen them all before, why spend the money to see the same cars that i can go to Kmart and see for free...

Oh and Rex, i support the 'scene' by doing what i want to my car and enjoying it when i drive it. Didn't know i needed to rep.

Brandon (Spanish) im in the same boat as you are.
