It was an awesome game! I didn't expect Mertens to be THAT good. he was 16 for 18 iirc, which was awesome considering they were stacking against the run for most of the game. How about that Bison Defense? The only time APSU moved the ball was when #3 was returning a punt or kickoff! Oh, and Heckendorf is the man.
I'll be tailgating again next Saturday as soon as the door open. Whoever's going to the CCSU game, come find me and have a beer! Who's in?
-
ugh if only i was 21...
-
really? i guess ive never been there from what i understood you had to be 21 . hmm
-
I didnt get carded once, and I dont look 21 by most standards...just don't carry around a bottle or can and drink out of a mug or cup, and youre good.
I'll be there with ya on Saturday, jason...yesterday was the shit..I'm amazed how awesome the tailgating scene is with all of the sweet buses/vans/motorhomes painted in NDSU Bison logos/colors whatever.
Next week should be another blow out/sweet game

damn i just may be there then, wouldnt really drink anyway i just thought it was 21+ thing

Fucking gay that you have to go get a actual ticket in advance AND have your student ID to get in. Instead of just going with your ID.Fuck NDSU. Always trying to scam and get as much money out of people as possible.
So I read in the paper that they are allowing 4000 students in to games this year, and that's exactly how many students were let in to each game last year. 4000 tickets are still given for free, the only difference is that demand is high and to get in, students don't have to show up at the door way before the game as they can now just show a ticket. I remember back in the day for Sue games, if you didn't show up at the door 5-6 hours before kickoff, you weren't getting in. Now that football is so huge again and EVERY game means something big, some students won't be able to get in. That's the way it's always been at NDSU when football is the hot commodity.

sounds like a good time jason. congrats to NDSU for the win

PLUS at the game even if you had student tickets they were turning away tons and tons of students. so id say around only 3600 or so were allowed in. People all over campus were bitching about it all day. Im sure they will change it soon...if they know whats best. I love in the paper they said something in the lines of "were doing the best we can to get the students in." .....ya...right.

Come on, only 4,000? There isn't a major school around here that doesn't charge for their school's biggest sports...
U of M football student tickets are $70 for the season.
http://http://www.gophersports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=8400&KEY=&ATCLID=1179091UND gives students free tickets to everything but hockey (I suppose they can when their football team only draws 5000 people for a home PLAYOFF game lol)
http://www.fightingsioux.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&KEY=&ATCLID=736165The NDSU student tickets are still free, aren't they? They've always capped it at 4k for sellout games so why is this such a HUGE deal now? I got turned away when I was a student and never heard a single complaint unti this year.

I guess my response to you would be (assuming you have season tickets?) how would you feel if you showed up and they said to you "sorry were at maximum capacity." Even though you have a ticket in your hand.
Well, students are on the complete bottom of the totem pole with it all. The student section is in the general admission section. So when they 'run out of student tickets' they make you buy a GA one for $15. My question would be; since they are in the same section wouldn't that mean they have student tickets since they still have GA tickets and we have already paid for them weather we like it or not?
