Well I figured I should post up my car troubles here and give everyone a good laugh. Save all your "get rid of it, its a dsm" comments though hah. I've heard all of them far too many times. Maybe they are right but when it runs it really rips plus I suppose this just means I have to upgrade everything. Onto the wreckage:

    Loading it up

And the cause of all this

I was looking for boost leaks and I thought the shaftplay was a little more than usual but didnt know for sure. Well I found out soon after when it finally took a shit on me. Limped it home to find this. The sounds it made were enough to make me cringe ha. I'm not all that pissed tho because I'm looking forward to what I'm going to upgrade to. I'm leaving to St. Louis for hockey this year but when I get home this thing will be a monster. Anyways here's the plans.

-Rebuilt or new 20g turbo so I dont have to change my engine management right away
-Punishment 38mm atmospheric dump o2 housing
    -Tial 38mm wastegate
    -Megan or Apexi downpipe
    -Megan or Apexi Catback
-some sort of methanol injection after all of that

Dsm's aren't shitty cars. Just no one knows how to build them around here. And don't mess around with a crappy 20g and that megan racing bs. Go big or go home. You'll save yourself money in the long run. If you plan on keeping it I guess. I think Jeremy Smith is trying to part out his car. Might wanna hit him up before all his goodies are gone.

accually megan racing has been doing good. the numbers dms's/evo's have put down with their parts is equal or better than other name brands.

and theres few places around here that swear by their suspension for their track cars.

Yeah it seem like a lot of guys have had success with Megan Racing but I'm not set on exhaust and downpipe yet.

I'd go bigger turbo wise but I want to max out the setup I plan to build and see what I can push with the 20g and if I want to keep going with the car I will go bigger. I believe it will be a great setup with the 20g and everything I plan to do.

Keep the suggestions coming guys and if you do happen to have some parts that could help with the build let me know!

well i will soon be trying out the Apexi N1+megan downpipe with the evo XI turbo. (i dont know how big it is) just keep checking for whatever updates.

also its not a bad idea to look into Forced Perfomance. they make good setups with factory turbo housings that are good up to 450 wheel with the right tune. espically since you dont want to go with custom/one-off parts. it will fit your manifold/dp and you wont habe to worry about have them build. only downside is they can get kinda spendy.

if your going to put a bigger turbo on it go right to a 50trim. for what you pay for a 20g and the performance for a 50trim... i have tested both turbos on the same car and the 50 was just better

You both are gay! What is your power goals? whats your budget? Years ago I had a 1g and 2g both with PTE 50 Trims and the 1g went 11.2 and it was a blast on the street!! Guys if he went to a gt30 or a T3 housing he would have to upgrade to a manifold that bolts on thos turbos. The 20g's are bolt ons along with PTE SCM turbo's.

I went to high school at Fargo North. Graduated in 07. I played last year for the jets, shitty I know but for my first season of jr. hockey it was ok. I was actually planning on playing with the force but it ended up not working out and my age kinda screwed me. I have a spot playing for st. louis this year and hopefully getting a D-1 Scholarship after the season. St. Cloud state is going to be keeping tabs with me this year so I suppose we will see what happens.

Anyways onto the car ha, it's at tintmasters and they are going to send off my 20g to see if it can be rebuilt and if not I think I'm going to get the same one. I mean its not too laggy for me and it could easily get me to a 350hp goal. I would go bigger like say a 50 trim but at the moment my injectors arent big enough and I would have to upgrade over my datalogger afc combo. The other things I have listed I would like to upgrade to first, then maybe a bigger turbo wouldnt be out of the question.
