and if you are putting that outboard motor in ur car its tiny hahah

The filter has to be completely submerged to cause damage, and most people are conscience enough to think twice with or without a CAI. This is the 2nd car I have heard of locally that has had issues with water and CAI's out of ~200 I have sold. Don't be scared of CAI's, be scared of potentially deep amounts of water.

another reason i diss them is because also because the filter is outa sight and people forget to clean them too which can also be bad. my .02

in the 12+years of being in auto business I have seen alot of cars suck in water...mostly driver error...but if the customer is that stupid to drive in deep water and the intake is lower then stock you cant tell me that it wouldnt aid to water ingestion
