old truck doesnt start

i have a older carb'd 4 cyl toyota pickup. i drove it earlier this last fall while the evo was still in the shop, and now im ready to park it and start driving the truck again. only problem is....doesnt start!

i put a brand new battery in it today. its got gas in it, and it is getting fuel..but all it does is turn over.

my next step is checking for spark...but i ran out of sunlight. anything else i should look in to?

maybe you should have checked for spark before posting... so im just going to go ahead and say that you should remove the pancakes from your fuel tank, then try to start it...

If it were me, I would check for spark.

After you check for spark, try starting it with the pedal to the ground in case you flood it.

fine, dont flood it, check for spark, use some starting fluid...
