unbelievably they charged him $70.00 for a distributor cap and 75.00 to install and another 29.00 for the rotor, mabye a bit steep?

if it put out a huge cloud i'm thinking it could be dumping fuel? would make sense on the throttle input dieing thing.

but without looking at it i can't even begin to help as to what it is.

Im with drifter on this one. Black clouds of smoke from the tailpipe usually mean its getting too much fuel(Rich). Leaking injector?

Pull codes and go from there.....

sounds like an ecm, maf, or ignition. issue........ it wouldn't be an injector because it would only be down a cylinder.... still puff black but atleast run

he went to pick it up after hours, he already charged to his crdit card and had a spare key. and yes everyone on fargostreet knows about ford/mazda partners....bp-08 educatiumed us on that...lol unfortunatly:icon_rr: and its a 2.0
