My Weekend Trip

Here are some pics from my weekend trip........to World Rally Championship Rally Ireland in Sligo, Ireland. It was a Great weekend. WRC is a lot bigger set up than Rally America, but they aren't nearly as strict for spectators. You can basically stand anywhere except on the outside of the corner, or inside past the corner where they could spin out to. People near us, were standing on the edge of the road, literally probably within 5 ft of the cars. The teams are a lot bigger, many of the privateer teams had set ups nearly as big as pastrana/block/etc...and Citroen and Ford had WAY bigger set ups. They also had fireworks and parade on saturday night. I will try to label the pictures as well as possible, but I have a lot so yea...

Rauchenbachs car which spun out on a corner at around 100 hit the ditch with his front (the front is a lot worse looking) and then the corner you can see hit the ditch.

This is their service tent/building. All of the big teams have these with flat screens inside where their 50+ crew members get fed and hang out.
Mikko Hirvannens Car
This is one of the privateer teams with a nice service setup.
Very nice brakes and suspension for privateers.
Another Privateers Car:
Adding tread to the tires because they were having a problem with hydroplaning in the wet.

Yeah, i was pissed that Suby pulled out this year, because I would have loved to see them, but still cool to see everyone else.
