well not too much.. just something that works and i do need a 2 farad cuz i opted out on a small battery to lighten things up. and now when i turn on my headlights it idles down. so i also need a voltage regulator maybe.. i mean i work at subway.. low payNo, you don't need a 2 farad capacitor, all that will do is add additional ESR on your charging system. You need to upgrade your ground wires at the battery/engine to ~ 4 gauge (depending on size amp you are running...maybe 1/0 gauge if the amp is over 1000 watts RMS). Then you also need to upgrade the power cable from alternator to battery. This will do infinitely more good than any capacitor ever would.
As for the "not too much" what does that mean? Under $1000? Under $500? Under $300? Under $200?
On the low end, I have this http://www.dualav.com/mobilevideo/xdvd700.php for $275 w/ full factory warranty and on the high end I have http://www.eclipse-web.com/us/avn/avn7000overviews.html for $1,600 (while supplies last)
I also have a LARGE assortment of subs/amps available with full factory warranty....again, give me a ball park of what you want to spend and i'll try and come up with a few options for you.

I think if I were you i'd go with chuck's advice... I'm pretty sure he knows a lot more about this stuff than you..i'll just take both your guys's advice.. ill put in the bigger wire.. and i'll also move my battery to the trunk.. that would make a stereo install even easier

Keep your battery up front (or add a second in rear) and you will be fine...just don't skimp on wire sizes.
